Privacy policy

What we collect

• Your account: your name, email address and a hashed password.
• What you make: the products you add (name, link, description and photo), the characters you save (name, portrait photo and voice), the scripts and prompts written for your videos, your settings and the history of each video job.
• The extension: a pairing token that links the extension to your account, and when it last connected.
• Google Drive, if you connect it: an access token for your Drive (stored encrypted), the email address of the Drive account, and the IDs of the Kachingo folder and of the video files Kachingo saved there.
• Your subscription: your plan, its status and renewal date, and the customer and subscription IDs from our payment provider, Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe directly; we never see or store your full card number.
• Messages you send us: what you write on the contact page or in Contact us, with the name and email address you give.

What we do not keep

• Finished videos are not stored on our servers. To add captions, a finished video passes through our server; the captioned copy is held in memory for at most one hour so the extension can download it, then discarded.
• We never ask for, and never store, your Google, Google Flow or TikTok passwords.
• We cannot see any file in your Google Drive other than the ones Kachingo created.

How the work is done

Images and video clips are generated in Google Flow, in your own browser, under your own Google account and with your own Flow credits, by the Kachingo extension. Posting to TikTok, if you choose it, also happens in your own browser, under your own TikTok account. Your use of those services is governed by Google's and TikTok's own terms and privacy policies.

Google user data

When you connect Google Drive, Kachingo requests only the drive.file permission, which covers files Kachingo creates and nothing else. We use it to create a “Kachingo” folder in your Drive, to save the videos you download there, and to read those same videos back so you can play them in your dashboard. We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell it, we do not use it to train artificial-intelligence models, and no person reads it unless you ask us to for support, or the law requires it.

Kachingo's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Who processes data for us

• Zeabur hosts the website and its database.
• Anthropic (Claude) writes the scripts: it receives the product details and settings of the video being written.
• Groq times the captions: it receives the sound of the finished video, to find when each word is spoken.
• Google stores videos in your Drive if you connect it.
• Stripe handles payments and subscriptions: it receives your email address and your payment details.
• Our email provider sends account emails and our answers to your messages: it receives your email address and the message.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone else except where the law requires it.

Keeping and deleting your data

• You can delete any video job, and any saved character, in the dashboard at any time.
• Disconnecting Google Drive in Settings revokes Kachingo's access with Google and deletes the stored token. Videos already in your Drive stay there, under your control; you can also remove Kachingo's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
• To delete your account and everything stored with it, email emilyomalay@gmail.com from the address on the account. We delete it within 30 days. Payment records that the law requires us to keep are kept only for as long as it requires.

Security

Everything is sent over HTTPS. Google Drive tokens are encrypted at rest. Access to your data on our side is limited to running the service and to support you ask for.

Children

Kachingo is a tool for sellers and is not intended for anyone under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is posted on this page with a new effective date. Material changes are announced in the dashboard.
